Logo Requirements for DTF Printing

Before uploading your logo, make sure it’s set up for success. DTF printing gives great results—but only if your file is clean and ready to go. This guide walks you through everything you need to know.

File Types

Upload your logo in PNG, SVG, AI, or PSD. PNG is the most common, but it must have a transparent background. Avoid low-quality JPGs or screenshots—they’ll look blurry when printed.

Resolution

Your logo should be at least 150 DPI at the size it will print. Scaling up a small logo won’t help—it just makes it pixelated. Start with a high-res version from the beginning.

Transparent Backgrounds

DTF prints everything visible in your file—including white boxes if they’re baked in. Always use a transparent background unless you intentionally want a colored block behind your logo.

Color Handling

DTF supports full color, so gradients and multi-color designs are fine. But neon, metallic, or extremely light colors may shift slightly when printed. Use solid contrast where possible for bold results.

Drop Shadows, Glows & Filters

Don’t rely on effects that only look good on screen. Soft shadows, glow effects, and blend modes should be flattened into the artwork. If you leave them live, they may print poorly or disappear entirely.

Text & Outlines

If your logo includes text, convert it to outlines before uploading. Otherwise, it might not render correctly on different devices or when processed. This also helps prevent font substitution issues.
