Logo Requirements for Sublimation
Sublimation gives you full-color freedom—but your file still needs to be set up correctly. This guide walks through what works, what to avoid, and how to get sharp, print-ready results.
File Types
Use PNG, SVG, or high-res PDF. Transparent PNG is ideal if you want to float the logo over color. Avoid low-res JPGs—they don’t handle full-bleed printing well and often print blurry.
Resolution
Use 300 DPI artwork at print size. If you're designing externally, build it at the exact dimensions you want printed. Blurry inputs = blurry output—sublimation is ultra crisp when done right.
Transparent Backgrounds
If your logo floats over a jersey or design, use a transparent background. If your logo includes a shape behind it (like a badge), make sure it’s intentional. We print what we see.
Edge-to-Edge Printing
Sublimation can go edge to edge, but your file needs bleed—at least 0.5" past the edge. Our online designer handles this for you, but if you're submitting a full custom print, include bleed manually.
Avoiding Screen-Only Effects
Drop shadows, glow effects, blend modes, and transparencies might look good on screen—but they won’t print right unless flattened. If you're not sure, export as a flattened PNG or PDF before uploading.
