Learn how to design sublimated products using the Online Designer, including templates, Color Swatches, logos, artwork preparation, and real-time product previews.
The Online Designer allows you to customize sublimated products by selecting design templates, changing colors, adding logos, and positioning artwork directly on the garment.
Changes appear in real time through the product preview, allowing you to evaluate your design before saving or ordering. The designer uses product-specific layouts to help manage design positioning and production requirements such as safe zones and bleed.
For the most consistent results, work within the available design areas and review your product from all available views before completing your design.
Color Swatches allow you to apply different colors to customizable areas of your sublimated design, including garment panels, accents, and other supported elements.
Choose from available color palettes and preview combinations as you work. You can simplify complex patterns by assigning the same color to multiple design areas or create contrasting combinations using different swatches.
If you've uploaded a logo, Logo Color Match can automatically identify colors from the artwork and make them available through Color Swatches. This helps coordinate your garment design with your existing branding.
Sublimation Templates provide editable starting points for creating custom garment designs without preparing a complete layout from scratch.
Select a template available for your product, then customize its colors, logos, text, and other supported design elements. Templates can be adapted to create different styles, from simple color-blocked uniforms to more detailed patterns.
Using a template also allows you to work within a layout already configured for the selected product, reducing the need to prepare garment-specific artwork externally.
Upload your logo through the Online Designer, then resize, duplicate, align, and position it on the product as needed. Vector artwork and high-resolution transparent PNG files generally provide the most flexibility when working with logos.
Use transparent backgrounds when the garment's colors or patterns should remain visible around your logo. Remove unwanted background colors, borders, and excess transparent padding before uploading.

If you're creating artwork in external design software, start with the highest-quality source files available. Vector artwork can be scaled without losing resolution, while raster artwork should generally be prepared at 300 pixels per inch (PPI) at its intended printed size.
PDF, PNG, and AI files can be used for appropriately prepared artwork. Avoid screenshots, heavily compressed images, and low-resolution graphics that become pixelated when enlarged.
There is an important distinction between individual logo uploads and full-garment artwork. Logos placed through the Online Designer do not require their own garment-edge bleed. Complete garment designs prepared externally must follow the dimensions, bleed allowances, and safe zones specified by the applicable product template.
Do not assume that a universal bleed measurement applies to every sublimated product. Follow the requirements of the specific garment and production layout.
